La Valle dei Conti is located just 6 km from Cesena, one of the most important destinations of Romagna. It is a must to spend a day in the name of arts, cultures and the good food because Cesena is a nice city to visit in every seasons of the year.
Famous like “city of the three popes”, it was considered the stronghold of the Malatesta lordship between the thirteenth and fifteenth century, whom ensured a period of great splendor.
Many of priceless cultural, architectural and artistic treasures that this lordship gave the city, are still appreciable.
One of all is the Malatestiana library, an important example of fifteenth italian library, perfectly preserved and part of Unesco’s heritage inside “the memory of the world”. Cesena must thanks Malatesta lordship also for the fortress with its two central towers.
Dante presented Cesena into the Divine Comedy writing “quella cu’ il Savio bagna ‘l fianco” which means “the city on the river Savio” and today is still one of the landmarks of the city, especially for animal lovers. It’s not correct thinking about Cesena like an old town trapped in the past, because there are a lot of lively streets in the center, full of shops, locals and events to entertain.
San Vitale The Basilica is one of the most important monuments of early christian artistic age in Italy and among the mosaics, the Teodora’s face will you enrapture. We remember you the Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, Sant'Apollinare In Classe and Mausoleum of Teodorico with its special typical construction. Returning to the famous poet Dante, we suggest to visit the shrine in Ravenna where he died during his banishment.
Are you tired of the culture? There’s Mirabilandia, the most famous amusement park of Italy with roller coaster for all age groups and a marvelous aqua park.
Do you love go to the sea and have fun? The Riviera is just round the corner! The coast extends from Lidi Ravennati to Cattolica crossing many cities like Milano Marittima, Cervia, Cesenatico, Rimini and Riccione.
Able to ensure relaxation for families (with beaches, bathing establishments, pine forests, water parks / theme etc ...) and entertainment for younger (discos and pubs), the Riviera is the best way to discover the fun in Romagna.
